Job Summary: Halls Chophouse Columbia is seeking a passionate, hospitality-minded Sommelier to join our team. As the Sommelier for Halls Chophouse, you will educate and empower our guests to navigate our wine list. Who You are:

A student of the vine— your extensive knowledge of wine continues to grow through rigorous studies. You believe that you never stop growing and learning—every detail matters. You are able to lead the guest beyond the bottle, explaining how the smell of the soil marries with the climate to create each note in the finished product.
A true believer in hospitality—you understand the difference between service and hospitality. Displaying one of our core values, your hospitality will welcome each individual into our restaurant for an experience unlike any other. You strive to make every guest feel at home, at the table and with the wines.
A self-leader—you understand leadership starts with yourself. As an ambassador for beverages, you lead yourself with honesty and integrity which translates to how you treat your coworkers and guests.
A versatile beverage aficionado—your beverage knowledge includes spirits, beer and cocktails. You understand why whiskey and bourbon are different as well as the origins and ingredients of classic cocktails.

Certification in the Court of Master Sommeliers is a plus, but not required. Proven, extensive knowledge of wine, beer and spirits is a must.
